It is not surprising that Mormons are comfortable lying. Their founder was a liar too...

"Josiah Stowell, a Mormonite, being sworn, testified that he positively knew that said Smith never had lied to, or deceived him, and did not believe he ever tried to deceive any body else. The following questions were then asked him, to which he made the replies annexed.

Did Smith ever tell you there was money hid in a certain glass which he mentioned?

Yes.

Did he tell you, you could find it by digging?

Yes.

Did you dig?

Yes.

Did you find any money?

No.

Did he not lie to you then, and deceive you?

No! the money was there, but we did not get quite to it!

How do you know it was there?

Smith said it was!

Addison Austin was next called upon, who testified, that at the very same time that Stowell was digging for money, he, Austin, was in company with said Smith alone, and asked him to tell him honestly whether he could see this money or not.

Smith hesitated some time, but finally replied, "to be candid, between you and me, I cannot, any more than you or any body else; but any way to get a living."

Here, then, we have his own confession, that he was a vile, dishonest impostor.

As regards the testimony of Josiah Stowell, it needs no comment. He swears positively that Smith did not lie to him. So much for a Mormon witness."

Why? Souls are just as important and I speak from experience. Also this is on the religion forum.

And at least spell it right, its MORMON, not MORMAN SMH

Yes the Celestial Kingdom is the Highest Heaven where God dwells.

So let’s see ...your Idea is that God is an incomprehensible being who has such a big ego need that he created the earth/mankind so that you can spend eternity singing praises to him!

....The God you define has about the same need for acclaim that Donald Trump does.

Sadly, many people are fooled into thinking LDS tell the truth about their teachings. I was. It wasn’t until I was all in, in Utah and at BYU, and preparing to leave on an LDS mission that I started to find out I was being lied to. (This is preinternet days)

Even I know longer believe in the false religion I started! Yet day after day, the people I led astray keep posting on FreeRepublic and knocking on doors to mislead people.

Oh, how I regret how Satan used me to lead millions astray! If only I had a second chance to change things! FLEE! Before it is too late! Flee the cult of mormonism!

Wait. I'm getting a testimony... a repentant Joseph Smith, who now knows the truth, is testifying to us all! If you are sincere, you will here his voice repenting of his demonic activities.

I have worked with many mormons over the years and have found them to always be good people.

That being said...

Why do you always bring two mormons fishing with you?

Because if you bring only one, he will drink all of the beer

Hey Union boy,

At least my definition of God/Christ was not decreed by an Emperor in 325AD and enforced by threat of banishment.

Even that didn’t work and so it was later enforced under the threat of death in 385.

My God and founder didn’t have to threaten people with death to get their obedience like those who developed yours.

Most are fantastic people. They have a truly bizarre religion though. I have family and very close friends that are LDS so I see both up close.

"At least my definition of God/Christ was not decreed by an Emperor in 325AD and enforced by threat of banishment."

My definition of God comes directly from His Word.

"My God and founder didn’t have to threaten people with death to get their obedience like those who developed yours.

Does the word "Danites" ring a bell??

Um...I know many Mennonites and LDS. People are people, some good, some bad. I do know Mennonites are often caught smuggling drugs in my area.

Neither was ours. Try reading actual history rather than LDS version of it.

“Just this past week, a general authority of the church spoke at BYU’s commencement for the need to “Disassociate” with those who have lost faith”

A sure sign you are dealing with a cult.

Actually he threatened Joseph and Emma with death unless Joseph practiced polygamy. Want the LDS sources for that too?

One important thing to know is LDS supports open borders and illegal immigration. They are conservative on most issues but I sure part ways with them on that. I have LDS friends in Arizona that do not support open borders but the church does and I have never heard anyone in Utah say the border should be secured and they are all into taking care of illegals.

Yes we believe God is the literal creator and father of our spirits. We believe that like Jesus Christ we will be resurrected with eternal bodies. When we are resurrected and live with God we will be like him; in the fullest form that he created.

However, even in the Celestial Kingdom, our Heavenly Father will always be our God and Eternal Father.

.... in other words he created Man for more of a reason than to have a choir sing praises to him through eternity.

You want the reference where your Christianity was imposed by an emperor through threat of death?

You actually believe that God our Heavenly Father commanded priests to kill people who believed in Homoousis instead of homousis ....or whatever your Nicene Creed tells you.
