I am so pleased for the Russian Orthodox. Any Christian revival anywhere is a great blessing.

I hope it is legit. They might be the first ones to make abortion illegal after it’s been legal. They have demographic national reasons and a supposed strong Church resurgence. And they haven’t given in on gay agenda, they seem to going more against it if anything.

I’m sure it’s complicated, as any confluence of religion, history, and politics is bound to be. Nonetheless, if the result is that more Russians live a Christian life, that is an excellent thing.

I don’t buy the part about the Reformation. They groups that went bad always have the good ones leave, and form some new thing with a different abbreviation that is good. Good as in not accepting some of the terrible stuff. I don’t see why that can’t just go on like it has been, it seems viable. It might get really really small, but then the Church might get really small too. But so far, the good ones are the ones that grow until they go bad, and then it splits with good ones leaving and the bad ones who stay shrinking. At least that’s what it looks like to me.

That secret Fatima 3rd secret stuff and if the consecration of Russia was done or not and which Popes did it or not and which Popes revealed it or didn’t is way beyond my pay grade.
