Sorry. While it is Christian duty to love the sinner, the sin itself is condemned. However if a sinner refuses to repent and indeed celebrates his vile action, should Catholics embrace such a person, allow him to preach and teach within their communities? If so then it contradicts the teachings of St. Paul and 2,000 years of Catholic tradition. This Pope simply cannot come to terms with recognizing the harmful effects of aberrant behavior or define it as sin. Remember he is a Jesuit. That order has devolved into a predominantly homosexual cabal. He at the least had to tolerate much vile, aberrant, hypocritical behavior. Indeed this “Who am I to judge” nonsense is a psychological defense allowing him to come to terms with what is happening around him. It is his job to judge.
Uh. OK.
Seriously, this almost daily ridiculing of those who love and defend the Church and its doctrine, is so tiresome. As always, there's the false dichotomy and/or the straw man which is placed before us. The false dichotomy here is that there are laws...and then there's God's truth and we must choose between them. Adherence to the former means estrangement from the latter.
In a saner age, submission to Church law was seen as a sign of humility. Under Francis, it's demonized as Pharisaical.
Then there's the straw man; witch hunts. As if the past half- century has seen the Church torn apart by witch hunts. The only witch hunts have been those directed against the lovers of Traditional liturgy. Apart from that, it's been a free-for-all as catechetical and liturgical improvisation have wrought havoc to the faith.
Am I alone in thinking that BXVI's resignation was not well received at HQ? When a reigning Pope throws in the towel, bad things will follow.
Speaking of Joan (and not knowing anything but her legend)...
When do WE become so convinced of the truth of Christ for ourselves that WE are willing to go against ecclesiastical super-powers and be BURNED for it?
Robert Jeffress is a pastor here in Dallas who speaks raw truth and yet has the most affable demeanor while doing it. I just bought his book NOT ALL ROADS LEAD TO HEAVEN. Plain reiteration of Scriptural truth. No sympathy for the Devil.
If Jeffress can do it, why can’t Pope Frances?
1John 3:4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
Francis would re-write the Bible if he could.
I knew it was only a matter of time before the Pope sided with Judas. The next step is to make Judas a saint.
