Let us pray to the Lord.
Lord, have mercy.
O Master, Lord our God, Who were born of the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary; Who, as an infant, were laid in a manger, and, as a Child, were held up to be seen: So now, have mercy on this, Your handmaiden, who has given birth to these children. Forgive all her transgression, both voluntary and involuntary, and protect her from every oppression of the devil. Preserve the children she has borne from every spell, from every cruel thing, from every storm of adversity, from evil spirits, whether of the day or of the night. Keep this woman under Your mighty hand and grant her a speedy recovery. Cleanse her of every sin, and heal her sufferings. Grant her health and strength of soul and body, and encompass her with bright and radiant angels; and preserve her from every approach of invisible spirits. Yea, O Lord, preserve her from sickness and infirmity, from jealousy and envy, and from the evil eye. Have mercy on her and the newborn children, according to Your great mercy. Cleanse her bodily afflictions. By Your quick mercy lead her to recovery in her body. Grant that the infants which have been born of her may worship in the earthly Temple which You have prepared for the glorification of Your Holy Name. For to You are due all glory, honor, and worship: to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
