I have often thought this. Atheists and agnostics are “eating the seed corn.” They are freeloaders on the civilized society so arduously built by others. They absorb the society’s rules and think they are just as virtuous as us, but they are not. Their belief in ethical humanism is like the last days of a person on life support. They got it from others and it can’t be sustained without those others.
