There has been so much drivel on here over this person that has surprised me. Bowie did not stand for anything that this site seems to represent. An atheist, one who engaged in homosexuality, lived a rather perverted lifestyle. If anyone on this site saw a child dressed like Ziggy Stardust they would be horrified and condemning the parents, yet he is painted as an admirable trendsetter. He was an opportunist who prostituted himself for fame and glory. Rather a sad life.
All I know about Bowie was that I liked his music and it has brought me enjoyment for three decades and I associate some of his songs with favorite memories and times in my life. For that I say “Thank you Mr. Bowie, and God bless for the joy you brought into this dreary world.”
Rey, indeed! it is easy to see but remember... many “FREEPERS” are not conservative or even GOP liberal... They are Dem progressive secularist plants who love to agitate and stir the pot..
Always remember this Bible verse which can be used in all settings ... Matt. 7:16-17.. By ones doing you will know their mind.. That is why it is so easy to see the our current dictator is a hard core, commie, secularist who is all about exalting radical Islam every chance he has... and he is totally anti Israel.

I've been a member for a decent amount of time here but have always separated my opinion of music from the main topic of our conservative beliefs on FR.
Some, no doubt think they could or should be intertwined and that's ok, I just choose to disagree - I love the Blues and Rock n Roll that includes Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, KISS and yep - David Bowie.
Others want to live and have different opinions too and that's OK - the belief we have here though is not far from what Bowie thought - we should not deviate from what we believe, period.
