Wishing all a Blessed New Year! Ping!
A happy and blessed New Year to you as well!
We had a Maronite priest for Mass this evening. Charlotte has a small Maronite community, and he celebrates liturgy for them as well as being on staff at a Latin Rite parish.
He is the One who rose again and forgives those who believe in Him. Any focus on Mary is a distraction.
Bi-ritual? Did he celebrate the Latin or Maronite liturgy?
Yeah no.
Absolutely. Only Christ was born sinless; Christ is the ONLY mediator between God and men. Only Christ saves. Mary does nothing for us and can do nothing for us. Only Christ.
Happy New Year!
Hoss
You’re denying Christ did what I posted??
Yes, sir! Happy New Year!
**Salvation is now found in the Name of Jesus, because salvation means to enter into a relationship of childhood with God the Father. **
Are people reading the article?
Elevating Mary to a position higher than God is giving an attribute to Mary AND God that doesn’t exist, and therefore creates an idol. God is self-existent. He had no beginning.
Read the first couple paragraphs Worship Mary Jesus is optional no thanks
I see what I usually see in Cathokic artwork. A big Mary and little Jesus. Perfectly illustrates the elevation of Mary in catholicism.
‘’Any focus on Mary is a distraction.’’
“Distraction” = “blasphemy”.

It is their Mary and their Jesus. They can do what they want. Tomorrow is Holy in the Roman Catholic church- a commemoration of their Jesus being circumcised (8 days from their December 25)
It doubles as a ‘holiday’ in the secular world, not by accident.
They are well within their rights to do as they please.
The world follows a calendar named after a Pope for goodness sake..
They get to call the shots.
Thankfully, Scripture and Creation tells us december 25 is a lie, so January 1st is a lie and not Holy, except to Rome and the world
But that doesn’t just mess up Rome. But it explains a lot..
Mary is the mother of Christ as noted in the Word. She is never referred to in the manner as catholics call her.
If you allow the title, Mary, mother of God....do you allow the title, Mary, mother of the Trinity and all that implies?
No you don't.
That's why the catholic claim goes way beyond Scripture and elevates Mary to something not accorded to her in the Word.
That way, I KNOW I can't be wrong.
The Holy Spirit is clear in Scripture in calling Mary *the mother of Jesus*.
John 2:1 On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
John 2:3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, âThey have no wine.â
Acts 1:14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
