He's in that church to start with. Can't have too many principles.

The facts suggest just the opposite for some readers.

It certainly appears to us he is a -
"I'm not going to throw in the towel without a fight." -
kind of leader.

The church around him changed for the worse ever so slowly, as is our general society changing around us. The church members, or at least his vestry and senior command, finally overwhelmed him.

IMO, he will soon find a welcoming position if he has not already.

Part of the scandal of all this, is that in allowing homosexual “marriage” a couple years ago The Episcopal Church claimed to put in place a conscience clause—promising no penalty or problems for clergy who refused to perform perverted nuptials.

Kentucky Episcopal Bishop Terry Allen White has in essence stabbed Rev. Erdman in the back—by allowing his liberal vestry to fire him....contrary to the stated law of the Episcopal Church.

So not only is TEC fostering the “blessing” of perversion—it is lying about protecting the few who are conscientious objectors to that abomination.

I sang at that church for over 25 years, not as a part of the Choir but as part of the Louisville, Bach Society. For the most part it is a very liberal congregation, mostly very fine people who are generous with their time, their talents and their pocket books in taking care of the indigent in the inner city parish. Jonathan Erdman seems to be a very kind man and accepted all who came to his parish, he realized that we are all sinners and so accepted all sinners into his congregation. His “fault” is that he would not honor sin. I greatly respect him for that and wish him only the best and suspect that Calvary Episcopal Church will soon fade away and only the homosexuals will be left.
