The school says on their website that they hire without regard to sexual preference, religion or creed. That doesn’t leave them much room to claim they can.

It is a non-Catholic Catholic school.

"Preference" equals, I suppose, the same as "orientation." Nobody chooses an orientation, properly so called, because it's a temptation, not an act: a tendency or appetite, which one ahould, of course, control, not indulge.

"Gay mariage" is not merely a sexual "preference" or "tendency" or "orientation." Gay marriage is an act, and indeed an official affirmation of an ongoing relationship predicted upon sexual disorder, the acts of which are gravely depraved.

? That is, "gay marriage" is behavior, conduct, acts: and the public valorizing of those acts.

What the school will do, I can't guess. But the mere fact that they challenged this "gay" "married" guy is a step in the right direction.

As you said-

From Fontbonne's website:
The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph and the Sponsored Ministries, including Fontbonne Academy, are equal employment opportunity employers.
Consistent with those religious exemptions provided in statutory and constitutional law, employment decisions are based on merit, job requirements and qualifications, and organization needs, and not on race, color, citizenship status, national origin, ancestry, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, creed, physical or mental disability, marital status, veteran status, political affiliation, or any other factor protected by law.

That would seem to put this in a whole different light.

Fontbonne Academy is a private Roman Catholic college preparatory high school for girls, located in Milton, Massachusetts, USA. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston. It was started in 1954 by the Sisters of St. Joseph.

The school says on their website that they hire without regard to sexual preference, religion or creed. That doesn’t leave them much room to claim they can.

A misleading statement, at best. Here's the EXACT TEXT from their website:

The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph and the Sponsored Ministries, including Fontbonne Academy, are equal employment opportunity employers. Consistent with those religious exemptions provided in statutory and constitutional law, employment decisions are based on merit, job requirements and qualifications, and organization needs, and not on race, color, citizenship status, national origin, ancestry, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, creed, physical or mental disability, marital status, veteran status, political affiliation, or any other factor protected by law. Fontbonne Academy complies with the law regarding reasonable accommodation for handicapped and disabled employees. It is the policy of Fontbonne Academy to comply with all the relevant and applicable provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Massachusetts Fair Employment Practices Act. Fontbonne Academy will not discriminate against any qualified employee or job applicant with respect to any terms, privileges, or conditions of employment because of a person’s physical or mental disability.

They are certainly within their rights, and the law of Massachusetts in exercising the religious exemptions provided in statutory and constitutional law by rescinding their job offer.

What this is, is a TEST CASE, seized upon by the Progressive Anti-God Liberal Left of the Democrat Party designed to further tear away at Christian religious freedom in this country.

That's plain as day to anyone who cares to see.
