I agree with you that his condemnations of abortion in the US could have been more direct and blunt.

hated communism.
this pope has condemned lavish lifestyles of clergy that i never knew existed. I like that he did that.
That comment about people being fake around Christmas because of the Paris bombing threw me off. It wasn’t Christians that did that.
But he hasn’t strayed from church doctrine. Not that I have read.
