Direct. Linear. Clear. Detailed.
Thus, it seemingly has BXVI's fingerprints all over it.
Priceless.
I just don’t think anyone is listening any more. Give it a month and he says something outrageous.
Thanks for posting this.
Confession is amazing. I can tell when it’s been more than two weeks. I’ve been an RCIA team member for over 3 years and this is one thing that the candidates are most afraid of. We actually tour the little rooms and they practice Confession before they actually go by sitting in the room and chatting with the priest. (this is for the candidates for Baptism since Baptism washes away all sin). They learn that they are not actually telling the priest their sins, they are telling Jesus.
Step 5 of AA and Al-Anon:
5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
Before she died, my mother in law, a non-Catholic, basically made her confession to me. I couldn’t give her absolution (Matthew 18:18) but I could listen and pray with her and for her.
I’m searching for the right word and I think it’s empathy. I have a milligram of empathy for the German Cardinals who now understand how treacherous Pope is.
Nevertheless, they and the Pope are heretics.
(General comment)
When I see the barrage of delusional hatred directed at the Holy Father, I imagine that it must be (on a cosmic scale) like living in a house full of overindulged teenagers.
May the angels guard him and the saints intercede for him and someone give him a Guinness and a kitten.
