“Jesus Christ is ‘the image of the invisible God’, not ‘God the image’.”

Jesus Christ:

“But the hour cometh, and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit, they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” Jn 4:23,24

“And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.” Jn 5:37

John the apostle:

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” Jn 1:18

“No man hath see God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.” 1Jn 4:12

Paul:

“Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature”: Col 1:15

“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” 1Tim 1:17

“By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the King: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.” Heb 11:27
