Fr. Miscamble Can't Tell Students How to Get a Catholic Education at Notre Dame
Creative Minority Report ^ | 11/22/15 | Matthew Archbold

Earlier this month, the great Sycamore Trust created a website called NDCatholic.com which would assist Notre Dame students in finding those professors and courses on campus that could be counted on to deliver an "authentic Catholic education."

Great idea, right?

On top of that, they had the great Fr. Wilson D. Miscamble, C.S.C., making his very well informed recommendations to students on the website.

Great idea, right? In fact, so many students thought it was a great idea that the website reportedly crashed on the first day.

Well, it seems to me the university's administration didn't like the idea.

The Sycamore Trust sadly sent out an email yesterday saying that Fr. Miscamble "is no longer associated with the website NDCatholic.com."

"I regret that I can say only that I am required to end my involvement with the NDCatholic site and am not at liberty to say why," Fr. Miscamble told The Sycamore Trust.

Now, to be clear, he doesn't say the administration got to him but it would appear that's what occurred. (I could be wrong but who else would be against such a website?)

:Liberalism depends on deception. Not only do they not want parents to know that their kids are not getting a Catholic education, they do not even want the students to be warned about professors who will cleverly undermine the faith. Modern liberals are the opposite of true, classical liberals, and they are by nature disgusting, evil people.

Fr Miscamble’s bio from the Notre Dame website:

CSC = Congregation of the Holy Cross:

Having graduated from a small (now formerly) men’s Catholic college south of Notre Dame nearly 50 years ago, I can’t believe that the college administration is no longer interested in ‘preserving its Catholic identity.’ I guess I’m just too old to accept the secularization of Catholic college, and universities, but to be expected, I guess, with the decline of priests, brothers, and sisters who use to provide a majority of the professional staff.

I am a huge fan of Fulton Sheen. I downloaded the Fulton Sheen app. I am amazed at how relevant his talks are to what is going on in the world today.

I know a thing or two about this place. It is still outwardly Catholic, but there are many professors who don’t give a shut. While fewer in number, there are still a lot of CSC priests who teach on campus....everything from theology and philosophy to history and business ethics. Many priests are very well intentioned and yet the leadership is just as stupid as many other universities as it relates to liberal causes. They have to be careful though, because many...and I mean many students are conservatives, which means so are their parents, making a total capitulation to the liberal side a little difficult. Fr. Miss amble is one of the good guys.

“Fr. Miscamble” sounds like the antagonist in a C.S. Lewis novel.

His religious superiors in the C.S.C., that’s who. An absolute no brainer on how this one worked.
