Things You Should Know About Islam - Part 1

The first thing we should know is that nearly one in four people in the world today is a Muslim. 1.7 billion people in the world pray to Allah as their god. To be technical, this works out to be 23% of the world’s population are Muslims.

At the end of WWI, that is about 100 years ago, the estimated Muslim population in the world was 300 million. In this relatively short time they have grown from 300 million to 1.7 billion. This is phenomenal growth. This growth does not come from evangelism, it is from having lots and lots of children.

All that aside, it is more relevant to learn the history of Islam than the internal tidbits.

I disagree. It is important to know the history but it is very important to know and understand what leads people to Islam. It is important to know the beliefs to help discredit the evil religion. People need to understand how evil, bizarre, violent, and contradictory the cult is so that (1) we keep this vile religion as far away from us as possible, (2) we need to understand so that we’re able to possibly convert them, and (3) we don’t want to lose anyone to Islam because of ignorance.

No doubt history is very important — especially before revisionists take over like some have concerning the Crusades. We even had revisionists at work during the conflict inthe Balkans.

The Quran and the other books of Islam are creepy and scary. People should understand that.

You may not think much of Tom but I don’t share that view. I appreciate his efforts and knowledge.

taqiyyah:
-- In Islam, the practice of concealing one’s belief and foregoing ordinary religious duties when under threat of death or injury.

-- Lying to non-Muslims in advance for Islam is allowed till Judgment Day Quran 3:28, 16:106

-- It is fine to deceive the infidels. They are just pigs anyways. In fact, al-Taqiyyah of the Qur'an compels protection of Islam by deception.

Not knowing (ignorance) history dooms one to repeat it or be beaten by it. Knowing history fills in all the rest.

Muslims can only be converted piecemeal, never en mass. Islam can only be conquered by destroying it utterly and everything associated with it; less is a civilizational suicide pact - signed once before and classical western civilization and Christianity were nearly erased, about to be signed again.

I absolutely agree with you., we need to know history. We also need to know the source of the evil. We’re not in disagreement on history. I just believe it is important to understand the bizarre teachings of Islam. We need to try to discredit it.

I have seen the video before that you linked. It is an excellent video.

Personally, I pray to the Lord Jesus Christ. Bush calls himself a Christian but he says Jesus is the MAN he admires the most and prays to Allah. Not looking for an argument.

I recommend reading:

“Muslims, Their Religious Beliefs and Practices,” Rippen, Andrew

For a less rigorous read: (obviously also includes Christian apologetics):

“Answering Islam, The Crescent in the Light of the Croiss,” Geisler, Norman L. and Saleeb, Abdul

Thanks. I have read some of Norman Geisler’s work before, “I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be An Atheist.” He has great insight and is a very talented writer. I will certainly look into it.

The Black Family started falling apart around 1960 and now the White family is following the same route. No family, not enough children.

Exactly correct. The Arabs started taking black slaves a thousand years before the atlantic trade. The arab word for a black person abd is the same as the arab word for a slave

Why don't they have so many blacks in the Arab world? Because they castrated their male slaves
