If I remember right Aquinas was so fat that they had to cut away the table so that he could get close enough to get his spoon in the food. If so he probably considered gluttony a natural state of affairs too.

Catholics should follow Augustine not Aquinas

You don’t remember right. Aquinas was not THAT, and he wasn’t known for eating a lot. Albertus Magnus was the really fat one, and I find the story you cite to be doubtful.

Maybe Catholics should follow Christ.

Instead of the plethora of humans they idolize and emulate. They embrace any and all humans and keep Jesus at arms length, considering Him virtually unapproachable.

What a novel concept.......
