Christians Are At War With One Another As Americans Leave The Church In Droves

Many of the former so-called "mainstream" "churches", such as The Episcopal Church USA, have been perverted by elements that no longer adhere to Christian principles.

You are correct and as St. Paul said “Come out from among them.” It is modernity that is driving people away. Almost everyone intuitively knows that perverts are not the object of love and emulation. Many mainstream churches are embracing the pervert instead of calling him/her to repent. This failure is PART of the reason that people are moving away from churches.

exactly Sons,
Seems many churches have lost their moral compass.
Abandoned for the almighty dollar.

I know some preachers who are afraid to speak the Truth for fear of alienating their remaining parishioners. This has resulted in a watered down, feel good version of Christianity.

I also think that seeing Christians having their heads chopped off has led those weak and fearful to leave their church.

My pastor died a few weeks ago from after a long battle with cancer and now I am once looking for a church with a pastor who speaks the Truth.

Those who abandon the Word will never feel the power of the Holy Spirit.

They have indeed. I have been an Episcopalian for 45 years and the Church has changed so much.

I was in the Diocese of Dallas which is fairly conservative but my individual parish was liberal.

I stayed because I liked my Parish and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. But I did go somewhere else. I went to Maui where I’ve been attending the Church by the Sea (Episcopal). Not being a member I don’t know much about the philosophy of the church and that’s the way I want it.

My priest friend from the Irving Church is a liberal nutcase.
