Sure, there are plenty perps who deserve the death penalty. The problem is that very few have the specific qualifications found in the Gospel (as in “he who is without sin”) to carry it out.

Let us hope and devoutly pray that you are correct.

Then, perhaps, a different methodology is required. I’m not picky.

I think clergy used to be way more homosexual than now. I think gays quit joining as broader society accepted them post sexual revolution. I think this explains the peak of abuse instances occurring in the late 70s and rapidly decreasing through the 80s and 90s per the John Jay report as gay men quit joining and gay priests died off and weren’t replaced in equal numbers.

Possibly; the lower number of priests in general, as well as the influx of foreign priests (from “less-tolerant” cultures), may also contribute to it.

The problem is that very few have the specific qualifications found in the Gospel (as in “he who is without sin”) to carry it out.

Romans 13 addresses that issue, despite the teachings of the Catholic church.

The Bible had no problem with capital punishment.

Every human being on the face of the planet (excluding Jesus Christ, is born sinful. It still isn’t a valid excuse for criminal behavior and arrogant thinking. Homosexual behavior is not approved by God and is not holy. It is exceedingly sinful and not in God’s Plan for our lives.

Parents should keep their children far from the catholic church if this is not rejected by the pope.

Sure...they can send them to the tender mercies of Bishop Robinson’s Episcopal Church...problem solved...

Nope, they’ll never stop...it is what keeps the alive...

BTW, your tagline...’Stand at the gate, if you cannot run with the big dogs...’? Or has my Latin disintegrated beyond repair?

This is absolutely NOT “about to change.”

So the periti assured the Faithful, when concern about Catholic teaching arising from the Second Vatican Council became an issue...

‘Holy Mass will remain Holy Mass of the ages, with but minor changes, and these arising organically...’

This they told us without hesitation; and with equal lack of hesitation they fabricated a rite bearing trivial resemblance to the traditional worship...

Anything can change, and history posits that it will...

I think in thisyou are dwing mistken conclusions.

First, much as it's true that as far as the post-V2 Liturgy is concerned, "the vandals got the handles," the Liturgy did remain the "Holy Mass" with its essentials unchanged, as you could see from comparing it as far back as the writings of St. Justin Martyr (100 - 165 AD)where we can see the essentials of what we indeed still have, and have always had, as the Holy Liturgy, a Sacrifice and a Sacrament.

Christ only, is the One who make Holy Liturgy "Holy." At every valid Mass it is He who is High Priest. And we have never ceased to have a valid Mass.

Second, your aphorism "Anything can change, and history posits that it will..." is a flat-out contradiction to reality. Many things do not change, cannot change, and history shows that they didn't, don't, and won't.

For this to work, you would have to tear a bunch of pages out of the Bible.

Sheesh.
