>> “And the woman (Israel) fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. And there was war in heaven:” <<
.
This is clearly speaking of the era of the tribulation.
It is not clearly speaking of the tribulation. Neither is the word "Israel" in that verse. If it were clearly speaking of the tribulation, one might find "great tribulation" or "Jacob's trouble" in this passage. The symbols of Israel are seen adorning the woman, similar to how the same symbols adorned Joseph in Genesis. Now which woman gave birth to the Messiah and was protected by God ?
This criteria is met by those churches from Catholic chapters two and three who obeyed the Messiah and did the works he spoke of, as well as their brethren scattered throughout the world who did similarly.
