The festive meal is before sundown tomorrow night. We fast until sunset the following day.
Yom Kippur is *the* holiest day.

My birthday is Yom Kippur this year.
It’s odd having a birthday near (or on) an important religious day. It’s not even like sharing it with Christmas. At least then you can kind of think of the whole world celebrating with you.
Doesn’t seem like there’s much of a celebratory mood with Yom Kippur. Then again I’m not Jewish so I don’t know.

What a blessing to know the Messiah of Israel was presented in the temple on the Day of Atonement, 40 days after His Birth- a requirement in Torah.
40 days old, and the world can know, He was born on a New Moon Day , circumcised on the 8th Day which was the weekly Sabbath (again according to Torah) and presented in the temple on Yom Kippur.. Appointed Days He taught Israel!
Even hints in the New Testament that He began His ministry on that Day of Atonement too, 40 days after His baptism/immersion on His 30th birthday- the first Day of Our Father’s 6th month, when the sun clothed the woman and the moon was under her feet..a sign revealed in the book of Revelation (revelation 12) of the New Testament.
Sadly, Judaism and Christianity miss it.. Not by accident.the enemy has deceived the whole world.. Daniel 7 predicts times and laws would change and darn if it didn’t happen!
If people followed the calendar template shown in Ezekiel 46, lots of Truth would be revealed and lots of counterfeits would get exposed..
The Word really did become flesh. And that Word is found in the law and prophets. And it has nothing to do with December 25, good Friday,Saturday or Easter Sunday- those are counterfeits.
The genuine is an awesome story that would bring Jew and Gentile together. For His Feasts..
Which points back to Moses and Israel and points back also to The Messiah’s very life, death, burial and resurrection.
And forward to His Kingdom..

Today is His 6th Day. The day before His 7th Day Sabbath, according to calendar in scripture.
It means that when most will be getting prepared for their Yom Kippur, they will actually be working on His 7th Day tomorrow.
And actually fasting and afflicting, on His 1st Work Day of His 2nd Week(9th Day of His month)
And then working on His 10th Day of His 7th month..
See times and laws have changed and it really does make a difference..
The world using Rome’s system for their work and worship was spoken of in Daniel and Revelation..
And it isn’t good. It is the difference between being Sealed (Deut 6:8)or Marked (Rev 13:16)
What difference does a day make?
Quite a bit if one takes the warning in Scripture of Leviticus 23:29-32.
I have been blessed to see how the enemy has done has dirtiest work. And also know that the Lamb has taken the sin of the whole world away!
And how those Feasts are His and any believer can know it- if they care to ask,seek and knock..
What is awesome about His Calendar is He has built in a ‘preparation’ day between His 8th Day of the month (weekly Sabbath according to the template in Scripture) and the 10th Day of the 7th month. A work ‘day’ of 12 hours to prepare for His Day of Atonement.
His Calendar has no postponements and no Roman days. Just need to know when He starts His months and His Word and Creation give us the keys.
Quite an awesome Truth!
But lots of believers will be fasting and afflicting on a day He says to work, and prepare for the fast and afflicting for the next day.
That is how subtle Satan is..and how times and laws changing can affect even devout and well meaning worshippers of the El of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
And all like sheep have gone astray..
And the Good News- The sins of the World have been taken away! The Lamb,slain on Passover, takes away the sin of the world. And His Will is that He will draw (drag) all men to Himself.
And He will accomplish His Will.
Who the Son sets free is free indeed!

Are you saying we have an 8-day week? (I’m not against it, but it ruins the irony of a Beatles song.)
Not an 8 day week.
But a 7 day week (6 work days + 1 Sabbath)
that has a New Moon Day that comes before it in every month of His.
That is why Ezekiel 46 separates the 6 Work Days from His New Moon Days and His Sabbath.
The beginning of every one of His months starts with a day that isn’t one of His 6 work days or His weekly 7th Day Sabbath..
It is shown plainly in Ezekiel and shown in Genesis and represents with what appears as a time consuming event BEFORE He says Let there be Light..something happens before Light.and every month His New Moon Day commemorates it- then 6 Work Days that commemorate His 6 Work Days and then His 7th Day to commemorate His rest.
4 even weeks with no break of His 6 Work Days and 7th Day Sabbath. That is the pattern of the luni-solar calendar.
But it is missed because Rome has given itself authority to say there has been a continuous 7 day week since Creation.
That lie can be disproved with each and every New Moon Day, once a month. Which scripture , like Ezekiel 46, shows isn’t one of His 6 Work Days or His weekly 7th Day Sabbath.
A New Moon Day is a set apart day, though. Scripture shows that.
And how it fits into His Creative AND Redemptive Work shows how the Word became Flesh and why little Jewish boys being circumcised on the ‘8th’ Day will have some little Jewish boys being circumcised on a Sabbath (new Testament does have a place where He mentions men being circumcised on the Sabbath- a hint? Perhaps)
And why Passover as the 14th Day of His month (6th Work Day of His 2nd week in every one of His months) means more than Judaism and Christianity know today. It is Finished has deeper meaning when one follows the biblical calendar. Because it proves Passover is the real day and Good Friday is a counterfeit. And if Friday is the counterfeit 6th Day , logic says Saturday is the counterfeit 7th Day and Easter Sunday is the counterfeit 1st. day.
I know that now thanks to Him!
His Word does have an’8th’ Day as a Sabbath.
Interestingly, that would be His 22nd Day of His 7th month. Which according to Ezekiel, is a natural weekly Sabbath anyways!
It is the ‘8th’ Day from the 15th Day(which the 15th day of His months are also a weekly Sabbath according to Ezekiel)
When one sees that pattern, one will see Israel observed their first ‘weekly ‘ Sabbath on the 22nd Day of His 2nd month in Exodus 16- after 6 Days of manna (16th-21st) they mumbled on the 15th and quail came that evening(a picture of the Sabbath day ending) and manna began the next day-morning (16th)
He changes not..
But time sure has..and scripture says it would happen..
Tomorrow is the ‘8th’ Day of His month AND also His 7th Day of His week.
Because scripture separates a New Moon Day from His 6 Work Days and His 7th Day Sabbath. His Word even has a little mystery of that in Genesis when it says Elohim finished His Work on the 7th Day. But it also says He rested on the 7th Day from all His Work.
Seems like a contradiction until one understands how He tells time. And it isn’t like Rome tells time. Nor those who take their instruction from Rome.
Rome has no answer to all this- But His Word actually shows that pattern beautifully. With Israel as the guide. For eyes to see..
And what unfolds is why Satan deceives the whole world. But today most call it Monday, not His 6th Day.
His calendar (template in Ezekiel) points to His Creative (1 New Moon + 6 Work Days + 1 Sabbath =8)
AND Redemptive Work (days 9th-14th of month) the 6 Work Days - Death as the Lamb on the 6th Work Day(14) of His 2nd week + 1 Sabbath (15th Day ) resting in tomb and Raised from the grave on the 1st Day (16th) of the 3rd week.
14/15/16 in Leviticus is exactly the template Ezekiel shows and the template that the Lamb followed.
6th Work Day/7th Day Sabbath/1st Work Day on the next week..
That simple. That plain..
Christianity and Judaism can’t tell that story. But His Calendar tells the story every month!
Yom Kippur applies only to Jews. The non-Jewish nations are also judged on Ro'sh HaShanah but are especially judged during Sukkot (specifically, for rain). Our "day of atonement" is Hosha`na' Rabba' the seventh day of Sukkot (the night of Oct. 3 and day of Oct. 4 this year).
