But not elected officials who won’t issue gun permits.

If a County Clerk said he won't issue gun permits because he's a Quaker, would that excuse him?

As was done, finally, allow another clerk to sign the forms. Since, however, the chief clerk’s signature is required, a state change in code in which no clerk’s signature is required would provide a full accommodation.

An ABC News/Washington Post poll released on Tuesday has found that the majority of Americans believe that Kentucky clerk Kim Davis should be required by law to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, and said that equality under the law trumps a person's religious beliefs when the two come in conflict.

These ABBO's (Americans By Birth Only) can argue their case before God Almighty one day, and I suspect that day will be coming real soon.

False analogy. I looked up the etymology of the word "Matrimony."

It comes from Latin. The root word is "Mater", meaning mother. The word literally means "Ceremony to create a mother." This defines the intended function of the rite of marriage, and as such it explicitly precludes homosexual paring as an equivalent. There is no hope of creating a "mother" from a ceremony of homosexual paring.

It has no purpose in society, and no legitimacy in the language.

Beyond that, any Quaker can chose not to go into a vocation that would violate his personal beliefs, but in this case, the rug was yanked out from under the people who already possessed such jobs.

I really don’t care what party she is affiliated with. She’s got more stones that just about every Republican official out there, and that’s a fact.

As rational as Christening a Horse, or Bar Mitzvah-ing a Crocodile.

As the participants do not even meet the basic necessary criteria, they cannot experience such a ceremony. It immediately becomes "not" such a ceremony because it fails to meet the defined requirements.

Again, "Matrimony" literally means "Mother Ceremony." In other words, a ceremony designed to create a mother.

I have been seeing a lot of far left propaganda from Christian Post. Are they a manufactured authority of the left whose only thing Christian is in their name?

Not true. Liberals love manipulating polls to prove their points. Notice that at polling places, their gaystapo agenda nearly always loses. It is only with the fictional telephone polling that they crown themselves winners. Those polls are meaningless and powerless unless a gullible public wimpily decides to bow to them.

Decades of public school indoctrination is responsible for this.

They’re just showing the results of a Poll, not saying they approve of the results.

So they want her JAILED?

Or do they want her fired?

That is not clear to me.

I know socialists are non tolerant, and have no problem putting people in jail. In fact, I have found the defining item of a socialist is they are likely to start out a political conversation with “People shouldn’t be allowed to....”

But I always go after them on the jail thing. You know you have a real facist on your hands, a real hitlerite, when they want people JAILED over an opinion of some kind.

Number one..I don’t believe it.
Number two..So what! Are we governing by fiat, popular vote? Or law.
