Some spouses however (once determined the marriage was false to begin with) out of spite make life difficult for the other to move on. I know, I’m going through the process of annulment.

The annulment process is supposed to make a determination that the bond of marriage never actually existed in the first place. I have never understood this. How is a marriage that is consummated, perhaps even results in children, annulable? How can what is clearly a marriage be severed on the basis that it never happened?
