Interesting observation. I think though that the “Year of Mercy” revolves around a liturgical year which aren’t necessarily exact calendar years. They are the span of time between when Advent begins between one year and the next, a span of time that’s not always 365 days.

Oh; I get it now!

The Jews didn't get enough 'holidays' from GOD to begin with; so the Only True Church had to create some more.

Makes perfect sense to me.
