Deeply stupid headline. “Evangelicals agree with Trump on some points,” would be realistic.

Trump has said that repeatedly that he is motivated by profits in his decisions. He said so in the first debate. He is NOT opposed to sucking from the gubmint teat if that means it profits him. So, any honest observer must ask — what kind of profit is he scheming now? Don’t tell me that a 75 year old life-long profit-oriented businessman, all of a sudden, is doing this “for the country”.

Tis assumes that the other candidates are not in it for profit for themselves. That is really naïve!

I can’t speak of Trump’s heart but I can say that he is not hostile to Christians like the liberals are. That is big, especially these days. He is a straight shooter, which is refreshing. He is a real man in a world of girly men. That’s refreshing, too.

But worship is the wrong word. It’s offensive. They should apologize. (kidding about the apologize part, but that’s what the left always does)

‘Worship Trump? That title is just so wrong. Admire yes but c’mon only the Lord Almighty is worthy of worship. WTH we’re not Obama-like drones fainting at Barry rallies.

With his brash demeanor, rough language, womanizing, and general Trump-ness, you’d think evangelicals would loathe Trump. You’d be wrong.

I don't know of any biblical prohibition on "general Trump-ness", whatever that is.

“Tis assumes that the other candidates are not in it for profit for themselves. That is really naïve!”

What other candidates are or are not is irrelevant. Trump admitted to using gubmint to enrich himself and how he bases his actions on profits. I am trying to understand if he wants to profit from his candidacy/presidency.

By the way, I think half of the candidates are just washed up whores that are looking for either cushy lobbying positions or radio/TV gigs. Most others think they have a chance, and some really do, but this phony is taking up all oxygen.

Just look at what politicians are worth when they get to DC and then look at what they are worth a few years later. They are or seem to be in it for the money but Trump does not need that.

Evangelicals worship God and His Son, Jesus Christ. We are sick of mealy mouth “moderate” Republicans who have an excuse for every time they stab us in the back.

I was going to say the very same.

The headline is a non-sequitur. By definition “Evangelicals Worship God alone.

Some of these “journalists” think they are way more clever than they actually are.

Or, maybe her intention was to inflame the Christians who do support Trump.

Nice try Betsy.

The other candidates may not say it the same way as Trump. But they are in it to profit. There is not one congress member who does not leave congress as a multi millionaire.

They all look to government for profit.

Hell Nancy Pelosi did the best in her wealth in 2008.

It’s probably not the author who chose the headline. I didn’t read further to see whether the article used the same verbiage.

I expect that people of many Christian groups and a variety of non-Christians agree with Trump on some points, and many favor him over other available candidates. That has nothing to do with worship, and any sensible and well-intentioned person would know that and not even use the word.

However, it goes without saying that leftist media are neither sensible nor well-intentioned.

We have the Communist billionaire Soros funding every left-wing whacky commy group with his billions. Why not let the Capitalist billionaire Trump fight back with his billions?

Well, Square One, and the reason for all these false claims about what evangelicals think and believe, is because THEY, the liberals have no idea WHO or WHAT God is.

They wouldn’t know who God is if they met him on the street wearing a name tag. How could they? They and their political kinfolk in the ‘RAT Party hate God. They booed God and threw Him out of their 2008 Convention. And He’s never been back. They are ON THEIR OWN.

OTOH, God has raised up Donald John Trump for this particular time in America, to turn America around and make her great again. IMHO.

In Mobile, Alabama this evening, he said the Bible is his favorite book and referenced Billy Graham. Contrived, possibly but smart.
