The right with God...I’m okay. What exactly is the rest that I have a month and a half to “cram” for?

I’m making sure we have enough food and other supplies.

Which isn’t hard.

I do this sort of thing for winter any way, cause I hate finding I’ve run out of something in the teeth of a NY winter storm.

Interestingly, my car is due for a timing belt, so I was already planning on having my mechanic make sure everything was hunky-dory. I need new tires and need to get them before the next inspection is due.

I’ll be going through my freezer and looking at what I have, what needs to be used replenished with fresher stuff.

Clothes I’m good on. Medical stuff, medicines, I will make sure I have before Sept.

Ammo I’m good on.

I am not in shape to handle the zombie apocalypse, but I can get by for a couple rough months.

I do NOT know what is going to happen, but since I prep to a degree anyway, I’ll just do it earlier than usual

I have many gallon jugs of water. A gallon is easy to carry, and I just fill empty jugs from other sources. Water matters - for drinking, cooking, and cleaning. I also have a quality water filter.

I have plenty of food that I enjoy eating. Plenty does not mean a week; it means more months than you would guess. Pasta lasts for a couple years, and it’s cheap and light. Add cheap sauce, and you have a meal. Add a can of soup to that and you have a little variety in your meal. Throw in potato flakes, flour, and rice and you have a variety of sources for calories. Then add canned spam/tuna/chicken and canned fruit and you have protein and vitamin C.

Self-defense? I shoot daily (but I can afford to). At least dry-fire daily, to make sure you are familiar and comfortable with any weapons you own. Make sure you have as much ammo as you can afford and safely store. Liberals will take anything by force if you have more than them, or even if you just have stuff they want. When government will no longer take your stuff for them, they will try to do it themselves. Keep a shovel for disposing of liberals who choose unwisely, and don’t feel guilty - you will be protecting your own family and other innocent people against pure evil.

Soap is cheap, and it’s easy to store a two-year supply. Just stick it in a plastic bin out of the way. If you don’t need it for an emergency, you can just use it, replacing it as you do to make sure you always have a lot. The same for most hygiene items.
