Yep.
“Do good”, which is OK advice, but it is NOT the gospel of salvation.
and also, of course, all his advice was given so that the person would benefit somehow, financially, in their job, somehow materially, etc. it was all about getting ahead, but it was still good advice, insofar as its limits. it certainly was useful for personal interaction and getting ahead, but yup, not the gospel.
