#1...so you're defending cash donations made to the LGBT org?
If that's the case, how oft' have you contributed to LGBT orgs? (After all, isn't it the "will of God" to XYZ???) And if not, why not -- if it's the Mormon gods' wills?
I take it, then, that had the Sodom Gatekeeper Council had a "food pantry," you'd had been an active contributor?
#2 If it's the "will of God" to feed these people, why not do it yourself versus sanctioning the orgs that the Mormon church is contributing to?
What? The Mormon church has no mechanisms in place to directly feed the poor in downtown SLC? Really? After having been there that long?
Isn't what we complain about re: governmental bureaucracy is that they always create more layers than need be...vs. the direct approach?
And even then, if the Mormon church is going to choose the indirect approach, what? Are there no faith-based food pantries in SLC to work with? Really?
What next for the Mormon church?
Instead of working with faith-based pregnancy centers to get baby items into the hands of single moms who deliver their babies, will the Mormon church start giving cash donations to Planned Parenthood if posters like you determine is doing "the will of God" somewhere in the obscure recesses under their roofs?
