A penis in an anal cavity = a family.
A vagina + a vagina = a family.
Apparently, or something.

It's not clear from this that it's a surrender. (Too ambiguous, of course, which drives you crazy.) But it looks like they're allowed to attend. It doesn't look like they're going to be presenters or speakers or preachers or teachers.
Archbishop Chaput said there will be more than 70 speakers, and all of them will be faithfully presenting the Catholic Cburch's message. In other words:
No speakers for gay marriage, gay fornication, straight fornication, contraception, divorce/remarriage without annulment, polygamy, etc.
But sinners? Sure sinners can come. If you excluded sinners, the attendance would be very small.
But nobody's allowed to promote or advocate for their particular fave sin.

Where is the Catholic Church? Don't worry. They will make up something. A bad translation is one of their favorites.
To: Karl Spooner
See #8. Archbishop Chaput said, "None of us are welcomed on our own terms in the church. We are welcomed on Jesus terms, he said. Thats what it means to be a Christian. You submit yourself to Jesus and his teaching. You dont re-create your own body of spirituality."
I think he's going to be diligent about this.

Hon, don’t worry about it. I know you just got over a serious med condition.

Atheist gay abortionists advocating the violent overthrow of democracies, implementation of redistribution, reeducation camps, and gun confiscation will also be welcome, I'm sure. Probably do keynotes.

You may not realize that that's the Gospel:
Matthew 11:5
the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news brought to them.
Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free."
Luke 7:22
And he answered them, Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have good news brought to them."
And as for the rainbow flag --- Archbishop Chaput would tear it doen personally.

Yes I do realize that theres SOME Gospel “In there”
the full QUOTE reads thusly:
We want to work towards this. We want the Gospel of mercy proclaimed in the great cities of the world, most of all in the poorest and most marginalized quarters.
That however is not —strictly— Gospel, and carries with it a “social gospel” message and one that’s not terribly well masked.
everything is in some sort of context and the context in which that message is set is that the most marginalized of the GREAT CITIES are more important that the black hole of clacutta for example
