The irony is that you have refuted the current catholic foolishness of Peter being the rock, yet you don't even see that you have done this!

When the pronoun is cited as 'it' that indicates not a person but a thing, and Jesus has told catholics that the thing is His Church which He teaches catholics is a spiritual entity. So when you cite "it" as opposed to a him, as in Peter, you have affirmed that Jesus references a thing which is not Peter and which Jesus proclaimed authorship for not Peter.

I’m happy Jesus had that conversation with Peter, and I’m happy Peter went on to start a church, as told to do so by Christ.

Christians of all denominations can be thankful for the same, otherwise no Christianity.

The best part is that the church started by Peter continues today.

Catholics love the scriptures, a great book of “Good News” to read to help save one’s soul and join Peter (the martyred Saint) in heaven. We believe God made us to to “know, love and serve Him in this life and the next.

Your attack on Peter for the sake of defining the rock serves no useful purpose, in my mind, other than trying to use it as an anti-Catholic tool.

Doesn’t work with me.
