Of course I know it’s a Sacrament. I received it myself with my late wife, but after reading the opinion I do not think that will satisfy the Left who now seem to control things. Even though Kennedy filled his opinion with enough feelings to make the O’Jays, Dobie Gray and Johnny Mathis puke, I think, in the future, lefty jurists will cast aside quaint notions of sacraments and demand the Church provide strict legal refutation of the the coming accusations of overt discrimination. And if they beat the RC Church they win the whole game.

I know there is no limit to what the Statists will do. Only look back to what the French Revolutionaries did. First they nationalized the Church and then astonished to learn that many priests were actually Christians, they first impoverished them, drove them into exile and killed them. All in the name of the goddess of Liberty. My question is whether the Church has any leaders who will fight back, or like Dolan just surrender. In the days of Diocletian, many bishops and priests rolled over and did what the Emperor and his Caesars told them to. Luckily for the Church. one of them, Constantine had a Christian mother, and after he won, he emancipated the Christians. The unfaithful clergy and laity then came out of hiding, but those who has remained faithful did not gladly forgive them. In Africa, it caused a schism that lasted for a century. If liberal Catholics like Kennedy think that there is a split in the Church now, let him see howe he likes his house being burned by Catholic zealots. It could happen if the bishops prove to be spineless.
