I guess it matters who decides its valid.
I had no choice in the Roman one.... so it was never valid to me.
Now wait a minute.
Catholics can say a marriage covenant entered into by two consenting adults can be considered an invalid marriage because later they they decided that somehow they didn't enter it with full knowledge or real understanding and consent, but when baptism is done to a baby, it's binding forever? What baby goes into baptism with full knowledge and consent?
What hypocrisy!
The Catholic church just can't let go can it. It tries to maintain that death grip it claims it has on people's souls forever. Maybe so they can use us to count their 1.2 billion strong of people who aren't even sure they're saved and are going to make it to heaven anyway.
What a religion of control freaks.
I do not belong to the Catholic church any more and their claim that I do doesn't make it so.
There is no mark on my soul that Christ cannot erase. He erased any bondage I was in when He made me a new creature in Christ. I have been set free from the bondage of a works religion.
God decides, and yes, it was valid...
