Pray for Marriage Ping!
Marriage as a social institution is about community pressure and support for creating strong, enduring, monogamous unions between one man and one woman for the purpose of producing and raising the next generation of civil society. Same sex marriage is damaging to society, not because anyone cares what homosexuals do privately with their own lives, but because it (as yet another perverted, nonproductive example of "normal") further weakens the system by which civil society perpetuates itself.
Same-sex marriage is another nail in the coffin of society, but most of them were already pounded in by easy, no-fault divorce. Fatherless children raised by baby mommas become feral thugs rather than contributing members of society.
Today Mr. Mercat and I celebrate 45 years of wedded bliss. I’ll sign on to pray for traditional marriage.
Pray real hard for CATHOLIC Anthony Kennedy who will in all probability be the swing vote. He has a history of siding with sodomites.
