That is a close approximation of what the word says.
He takes us up to the wedding feast on the sea of glass mingled with fire. We are there for the duration of the bowl judgements, then return in our reborn spiritual bodies to rule with him for the 1000 years.
That is the Earthly kingdom, the “seventh day,” which must end for the “eighth day” to begin.
Eight is always a new beginning; that is why circumcision was done eight days after birth. It is perfect symbology.
