Since you have put Steefish’s character up for debate (and have connected yours with his) I will join in with a little deduction.
Steelfish knows that he is a fraud who can’t answer simple questions about his faith and instead obfuscates with the same-old, same-old over and over again. You, by praising his disingenuous strategy with waaaay over-the-top exaggeration reveal either a shocking naiveté or a deceitfulness even deeper than his.
