I might point out in #5 “ grand titles (”Most Reverend Eminence,” “Very Reverend,” “Most Illustrious and Most Reverend Lord,” “His Eminence Cardinal,” “The Most Reverend the Archbishop,” etc.) “ that the word “Reverend” is used only once in the Bible (Ps. 111:9) and that is a reference to God.

Indeed.

Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man. For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away. (Job 32:21-22)

Caths and others are contrary to the intent of:

But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. (Matthew 23:5-7)

But sometimes i have wrongly called myself by a flattering title, though only a worm and unprofitable servant.

CHRIST-ian- CHRIST i. am. nothing. But being bought with a Price, at God's expense, gives us vast worth.
