Not one word about her after Pentecost.

There was nothing at all wrong with the “blanket statement”; many nominally Christian denominations have folded on both of those issues. How could you even dispute that?

This not about grace or rapture or any of that rot.

I get it, Catholics don't believe what 1Thessalonians 4:13-17 or 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 says. But to refer to God's grace as "rot"? My pity for you is overwhelming.

The 95 theses Luther nailed to the door were not originally designed as direct in-your-face challenge to the Pope. It was just the standard traditional university challenge to a debate on the subject. The door was the University bulletin board, Fr. Luther,OSA, a scrupulously zealous priest, was a faculty member. So he posted it right up there with the "Rooms to Rent," and "Lost Briefcase" announcements, probably little suspecting that this was going to turn into one of the most important religious documents of all time!

In fact, if anything, the Pope at the time mostly agreed with Luther, and ignored the whole thing as a "monkish quarrel." "No big deal," thought the Pope. "Of course indulgence peddling is wrong. Just send the money." He never saw the obvious. Of course the Romans were incredibly corrupt, and had more rackets going than Al Capone, but what really got the ball rolling on the Luther Reformation was that local princes were tired of paying off the church and as the dispute developed, were quick to jump on the bandwagon.

In modern times the Vatican has pretty much thrown in the towel and said, "All right already, Fr. Luther was right about Grace, Indulgences, etc. We were really bad boys back then. Can't we all just get along now? Forget the money!" So there has been a little bit of a rapprochement. Some married Lutheran pastors have even become married Catholic pastors.

In general, IMNVHO, Fr. Luther was not as Protestant as a lot of Protestants may wish. For example, he had a life-long devotion to the Virgin Mary. But he did get more Protestant as time went by. But even at his best, he was no Knox or Calvin.

Why is there no tomb of Mary? Why are there no relics of her body? Why are these never even mentioned in history?

Moses body has never been found, but he wasn't assumed into heaven without dying.

Just how many “graves” of people in the Bible have been found? I was reading something the other day which said Peter’s bones are in Jerusalem not Rome. When the archeologist met with the pope at that time, the pope told him to keep it quiet. Why?

Christians accord Mary the respect due her as noted in the Word.

However, Christianity's problem with catholicism is that catholicism has gone way, way, way, way beyond the text in what is accorded Mary.

It is apparent from this that catholics do not take Scripture very seriously....for if they would they would not be worshipping Mary as they are doing and continue to advocate.

Catholics do not worship Mary.

When you stop repeating this lie, you will have a chance at becoming an intellectually honest person.

A little re-formatting makes your statement true. When you realize that the italicized statement is the lie, the second statement follows.

A Freudian slip?

Well, Saul gave several tellings of things to come, so that isn’t quite accurate is it, Elsie? Look at 1 Thess 4:13-17 and 1 Cor 15:51-52. What he saw and then wrote of is like what Daniel saw and wrote of, and Daniel is considered a prophet.

So we are speaking a whole different and weird language.

That's what happens when different folks use the SAME words to mean different THINGS.

“All generations will call me blessed.”

Except for Catholics.

They'll call her all KINDS of things that are NOT biblical.

If she was so irrelevant, why do St. Matthew and St. Luke make such a big deal out of her?

Matthew also made a BIG DEAL out of Rahab, the prostitute and David's Mother, wife of Uriah.

You have been calling her unimportant.

When you can't even quote what was just typed in this thread correctly; it's no wonder that your grasp of the Scriptures are so weak.

"No big deal," thought the Pope.

When problems with TODAY's Catholicism appear in these thread; "No Big Deal" seems to be the SOP for apologetics.
