You learn something every day.
“You do realize that while there is an occasional use of the word gnostic to denote those who have true knowledge of God, the predominant use of the word, particularly with a capital G in English, denotes the broad species of early heresies which claimed secret knowledge of the divine beyond (and often contrary to) the Churchs publicly proclaimed Faith. (And this is so early that there was only one identifiable Church, still undergoing persecution by the pagan Roman authorities.)”
I know little. of Roman Catholicism except what history teaches. And their brutal history doesnt reflect on them very well.
I said I knew little Catholic doctrine. I grew up in a majority (by far) Catholic area and knew a great many Catholics. Some were very kind moral people. I get on with most people and hold no animus in general to anyone.
But I do know history.
And support for abortion and euthanasia are its most deadly manifestations. Modern liberalism is dependent upon a rejection of both natural law and basic reason.
"Socialist publication: We can change the world through abortion and gay marriage"
"A publication of the international socialist movement has explicitly stated it is promoting abortion and gay marriage as part of a multi-pronged campaign to replace global capitalism with Marxism..."
There are some that say the original sin in the garden was an attack on that very thing.,
Hence the punishment fitting the crime with multiplying pain and conception and pain bringing forth children for eve and well, Adam, we can have a guess of why the ground was cursed. Genesis 38 and I won’t go further..
An adult conversation that is understanding why the ‘fruit’ is the g rated story we learn..the adult version would expose adultery and homosexuality as original sin and not ‘eating fruit’ or just simple rebellion..
“the fruit is the g rated story” ... there be wisdom here!
Good quote. Here’s another:
The Gnostic is not interested in conforming his mind to reality but in conforming reality to his wishes. Joseph Pieper defined self-deception as an unobjective perception of reality dictated by the will. It is the sheer willfulness of the homosexual movement that is notable. What are its consequences?
I meant the first sentence, but the above is what I copied.
This is an incredible article. I never realized homosexuals were Gnostics.
