That does not contradict what I said. God is the Master of His creation: to build up and to tear down, to create and to destroy.

It is WE who do not have the authority to endanger air, water or the very earth needed by our neighbors here and now, and by future generations. God made us caretakers in Genesis, It was His first commandment, along with "Be fruitful and multiply."
