To: CHRISTIAN DIARIST
A mentally ill person can be a Christian if he accepts the gift of salvation.

Christians do not have to satisfy the Old Testament laws. If you think you have to obey those laws (or whatever replacement laws you invent for yourself), then you are not a Christian. The requirements for being a Christian are very few.

I'm trying to take these into consideration:

John 14:15
"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." (said Jesus)

John 14:21
Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them." (said Jesus)

John 14:23
Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them."

John 15:10
"If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commands and remain in his love." (said Jesus)

1 John 2:3
We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands.

1 John 5:3
In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,

2 John 1:6
And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
