In reading Pope Emeritus Benedicts XVI’s Regensburg Address of September 2006. The Fundamenalist Islamic Response is that Islam would be overtaking Rome. Oddly enough ISIS or ISIL claimed the same in 2014-2015> So the other isse is that it was believed that Pope Benedict was referring to a Islamic Scholar whom was disputed by others is the Muslim faith as a heretic. Oddly enough Popw Bwnedict was to apologize over and over again to many Muslims whom were dissatisfied by his apology. the Society of Jesus (jesuits) came about by Ignatius Loyola whom were to become the leadership in the Catholic Hierarchy that lead the Teaching Schools of the Catholic Faith throughout the world.
In reading the criticism of the Regensburg speech it was deemed that the Pope should lower his standards of Conservative thought and strives to find a mutual understanding with those of the Muslim faith.
Excuse me but Islam is not the same as Christianity, Islam is based more on the occultic practices that were of the nomadic tribes that made up the country surrounding Medina and Mecca. The Islamic faith is not based on really anything Godly, it is based on the teachings more of Bezelbub (Satan). Islam worship a black rock, required pilgrimages to holy places for ritualistic cleansing. Jesus Christ broght mankind into a relationship with God. Ritualistic practices do not earn a place in heaven - these are an offset of a religion not based in a faith practice.
