Excepting really fringe stuff (i.e. Jack Chick) I can’t remember any anti-Catholic attack posts getting pulled. And for the record, this is not intended as a polemical attack post. It is a fairly sober and scholarly critique. Critical to be sure. But not in any way on the same level as a lot of the stuff I see being routinely posted that accuse the Romans of being a pseudo-Christian cult.
Well then you have it greatly narrowed down. All you have to do is figure out which one is the real church and which is in schism. ;-)
And the popemobile touts the Coexist bumper sticker no doubt... expanding the church to all comers of various religions, so we can live in pece and harmony, except for Israel of course...

Thank you for posting this. I’ll print it off to read the entire 37 pages. It is not often one sees anything from the Eastern Orthodox house of Christianity. My personal belief is that all of us who are followers of Jesus, need to focus on what unites us under Him rather than what divides us.

In short, accusations of “begging the question” will fall on deaf ears. The Church—as it has been historically expressed and understood in the Nicene Creed—is an object of faith. In this sense, belief in the Church is no different than belief in God. The Church as an infallible “pillar and ground of the Truth” cannot be proven empirically. We are simply to believe in it.
Well, there is a big difference between a bumper sticker, a popemobile and some kumbiya theme, from the true Church.
No one is much “For” any of those claims you mentioned, no matter the source near the top.

Reading a post before replying to it can help you avoid posting silly comments addressing issues that don’t exist. Neither the author nor I are Roman Catholics. This article has very little to do with the Roman Church.
