In a stunningly blunt brief, a team of lawyers acting on behalf of a number of Christian and liberty-focused organizations has told the U.S. Supreme Court that to mandate same-sex marriage is to invite Gods judgment.
And thats probably not going to turn out well.
The brief was filed by the William J. Olson law firm and the U.S. Justice Foundation on behalf of Public Advocate of the U.S., Joyce Meyer Ministries, the Lincoln Institute, the Abraham Lincoln Foundation, Institute on the Constitution, Conservative Legal Defense and Education Fund and pastor Chuck Baldwin.
The Supreme Court is to hear arguments later this month in a case coming from the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in which judges said state residents are allowed to define marriage in their state. The appeal to the Supreme Court contends barring same-sex marriage violates the U.S. Constitution.
Other briefs already have pointed out that marriage existed before any government, law or constitution, so the judiciary doesnt have the authority to allow people to simply change the definition.
The new brief goes much further.

Regardless of how the court rules on anything, persecution of the church is coming and we may be on an accelerated path in seeing that come ... and Jesus is returning.
Expect this persecution to come from the government and it’s agencies, the courts and justice system, the economic system and markets. Learn to trust fully in the Lord, or suffer till He returns. Don’t be one of those who becomes offended and who’s love grows cold and falls away. Those who endure to the end are saved. Matt 24
Fill your lamps with oil now (Holy Spirit) you won’t be able to later. Learn to live by faith in the risen Lord for everything.
Forget this rapture nonsense, it is not going to happen.
This is not about judgement, it is about the persecution of the church, it is necessary for the antichrist and his world system, and it is necessary for the return of the Lord Jesus.
All the women on the court are liberals who will vote for the destruction of marriage. This outrageous nonsense can not pass if “conservatives” stick together, but Anthony Kennedy is a great champion of homosexual “rights” and he will be the swing vote. John Roberts will probably also vote with the libs. Roberts as chief justice could also tell Ginsberg and the only liberal that presided over a homosexual “marriage” to recuse themselves, but that’s not about to happen.

I am generally not a fan of WND's journalism, but this article provides substantial coverage of some briefs filed in same-sex marriage cases by prominent Christian ministries and organizations, including but not limited to, National Religious Broadcasters, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Samaritans Purse, In Touch Ministries, & Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview.
Glad to see you back!!!
Well, in the Humanist religion, the State DOES take on the role of High Priest, if not the role of god.
Obama’s the warmup act for the AC...
A voice crying out in the city, to paraphrase.
Whether God’s judgment will be a factor in the matter of same-sex “marriage” remains to be seen (or experienced), but one thing is for sure: From a societal perspective toying with a defining characteristic of a society is playing with fire.
It is a common fallacy adopted and nurtured by many that on things like abortion and marriage “we should let the states decide.” But those are things that God decided already, from the very beginning of His creation. Therefore there is nothing for the feds or for the states to decide. It is already decided. They have no “right” or jurisdiction or lawful authority to decide otherwise. All they have is the DUTY to adhere to the laws of nature and nature’s God. Period. If they do otherwise they are usurpers and tyrants, and destroyers of their own offices and country, of innocents, and of Posterity.
Obama has advanced the prep work of the persecution of the church quite willingly. That suggests intent and knowledge of the evil one.
The antichrist will come and then so will Jesus, I think quite soon.
In practicality the federal would never go to war against a State for practicing or banning abortion either way, so it essentialy is not the Federal to imperialistically decide. However, I will give you that, like Southern slavery, ultimately we should do away with abortion, because ultimately the abortion States would side with enemies and try to hijack the Federal.
We are back to the Civil War, but unfortunately the GOP is no more the party of Lincoln.
Maybe July 4th is not a holy day..
Sackcloth and ashes instead of parades, cook outs and fireworks..
That would the day..
And we get closer each day..
