While I hate the fact that businesses are forced at gunpoint to provide services to anyone they do not wish to, I do think it would put the kibosh on the whole thing if every Christian business simply took the homosexualists money and then evangelized Christ at the event.

I agree. Forcing the assembly of individuals against their will for any purpose, including commercial business, is a clear violation of the 1st amendment peaceful assembly clause.
