My dad passed shortly before 5PM EST. We knew this was coming but thought he would last another week or so. However, late this morning he went into a very sudden system failure. Sadly I was not able to be there but my sisters and his closest friend were with him in the end. He had received Holy Communion several times during the last week and was given the last rites of the Catholic Church this morning.
Hail Mary full of grace, Blessed art you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Hugs to you NRx.
Prayers being said for you and your family- Our Lord be near you and comfort you, and prayers for the repose of your dad’s soul.
My condolences on your loss. My prayers and sympathies to you and your family.
I am so sorry. Prayers

May Our Lord forever bless you and your family with beautiful memories of your father. God Bless!
Done! May our loving and eternal Father comfort you and your family during the difficult days ahead.
May John’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
My deepest condolences on the passing of your father. He will live in your heart and memory till you are reunited with him in God’s Eternal Kingdom. “In my Father’s house there are many mansions. If not, I would have told you: because I go to prepare a place for you. And if I shall go, and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will take you to myself; that where I am, you also may be” ~ John 14:2-3
Peace be with you my friend.
Very sorry for your loss.

With the spirits of the righteous made perfect Give rest to the soul of Your servant, O Savior; And keep it safe in that life of blessedness That is lived with You, O Friend of Man.
In the place of Your rest, O Lord, Where all Your Saints repose, Give rest also to the soul of Your servant, For You alone are immortal.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
You are our God Who went down to Hades To loose the pains of the dead that were there; Give rest also to the soul of Your servant, O Savior.
Both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
O Virgin, alone pure and immaculate that in maiden-motherhood brought forth God, intercede for the salvation of the soul of your servant.
O God of all spirits and of every flesh, Who did trod down death and overcome the devil, bestowing life on this Your world, to the soul of this Your servant John, departed this life, do You Yourself, O Lord, give rest in a place of light, in a place of green pasture, in a place of refreshment, from where pain and sorrow and mourning have fled away. Every sin by him committed in thought, word, or deed, do You as our Good and Loving God forgive; seeing that there is no man who shall live and sin not, for You alone are without sin. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your Law is truth; for You are the Resurrection, the Life, and the Repose of Your servant John, departed this life, O Christ our God; and to You do we send up glory, with Your Eternal Father and Your All-Holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit; both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
