You have used an awful lot of words to say that when God says He is the only God, that He is lying. Yet you are saying that He is with holding the truth from us. God whose son IS THE TRUTH, doesn’t tell us the truth. He tells the truth to Joe Smith while Joe is using the tools of paganism, like magic glasses looking into a hat.

Nehemiah 7:
64 These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.

65 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.

The Urim and Thummim were seer stones given to the prophet by God as a tool to help man. As versus 64-65 show above, they couldn't find the information they were looking for until they used the Urim and Thummim.

God doesn't lie. But God doesn't reveal everything to man either. It's up to God how much information He gives us. But He always works through a prophet. That's been the pattern since Adam.

Maybe Joseph used a hat to cut down the glare in the Urim and Thummim. I don't know and I don't care. What difference does it make?
