Most Filipino-Americans are Republican? My understanding was that, in Hawaii, they were one of the most heavily Democrat ethnicities. But mybe that only was when RAT Gov. Cayetano (of partial Filipino descent) was on the ballot.

Just googled it and you’re correct. Nationally, Vietnamese-Americans were the most Republican friendly asian demographic. Only 44% of them voted for 0. However, Filipino-Americans were the second most GOP-friendly group, and together they were the only two asian ethnicities that voted Republican by plurality. (again, it appears to come down by generation gap... Filipinos under 30 heavily supported Obama, Filipinos over 65 heavily supported Romney).
