Well, it says he was crucified on Passover, but it says the next day was a “high day Sabbath.” That means it was a special feast day, not a Saturday.

The Sabbath, whether or not a “high day”, is always the seventh day of the week (”sabbath” means seven) and the next day is always the first day of the week, the day Jesus rose.
