‘So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Revelation 3:16

Laodicea was the last and worst of the seven churches of Asia. We are there. Lukewarm at its finest in America.

It does make a difference what you believe because your choice determines where you will spend eternity. . . with God believing in Jesus or without God and joining satan in the pits of hell. Prepare. . .everyone has a next breath. . .somewhere. http://www.patburt.com/

Podcasts, let's see

All the Reformed Forum stuff. Recommended.

Issues, etc. Pick and choose, too much to follow. Lootherin.

ChrisRosebrough's Fighting for the Faith, Pick and choose, way too much to follow daily.

Carl Trueman and the gang, Mortification of Spin. Recommended.

James White's Dividing Line, Recommended.

White Horse Inn. Recommended.

Westminster Seminary's Office Hours. Recommended.

Derek & Sharon Gilbert, PID Radio and A View From the Bunker. Recommended, but only with discernment. About half the time they're into something interesting, half the time in conspiracy theory la la land ("Teh Nephelim are Coming! Teh Panics!"). Useful for keeping ones finger on the pulse of fringe dispensationalism.

Chuck Missler, for laughs, and only occasionally. I think he's a kook.

These numbers, if true, merely reflect the deep need for true Christians to infiltrate the arts, media, academia, business, etc.

We do not spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ if we are cloistered.

“go and make disciples of all nations...”

Notice the first word is GO. :)

I watch him on Sunday...

So do I and have been doing so for years. I find his messages uplifting. For the poster above who says only old women with blue hair watch him, I do not fit that category. Although I will be 65 on March 2, I have never dyed my hair - except for an occasional hi-lite - and I was much younger when I first started watching him.

It was actually my teenage twin daughters who introduced me to Joel many years ago. They said that they did not need to go to Sunday School anymore because they watched "Joel" on Sunday nights. Since I did not know who this Joel was, I started watching him and have been ever since! The girls and I even went to see him in person when he came to Raleigh, NC, in 2006. It was a wonderful service with great singing and a good message from Joel.

Just browsing through the You Tube Titles on Franklin Graham tells you he is not among the fence sitters. We had one of his employees at a women’s missionary meeting in October talking about Operation Christmas Child. I believe his organization is doing “God’s Work, God’s Way”. http://video.samaritanspurse.org/

I occasionally like to listen to the SiriusXM enlighten programming of Southern Gospel singing. I especially like the when the old-time quartets come on that channel: Cathedrals, Gold City, Greater Vision, Blackwoods, etc...

I have to point out that the guy seems to live in your head rent free. For the sake of your health you might want to cut back.

Years ago I had one of those 8 foot wide satellite dishes and would pick up Scott. He reminded me some of Don Imus on Fox Business. Grumpy sarcastic old SOB. But he could get entertaining.. Often wondered where all that ended up. His ramblings about the biblical beginnings were actually silly and then he would show some videos of the babe wife riding his horses... The old days.

I would probably watch Franklin Graham. Is he on TV?

If I'm not mistaken, Franklin Graham's TV show is called "Always Good News", and is carried by the TBN network. It might also be available elsewhere, I don't know about that.

You can do a TBN station search here:

Some info. on Always Good News:

I’m not familiar with Derek and Sharon Gilbert, but the rest are people/ministries I follow with regularity and heartily second your recommendations. The problem is finding enough time.

Practicing catholic here and I watch a lot of Christian TV.

I know a lot of it is bogus Christianity, prosperity Gospel and new age positive thinking, seed shakedowns etc.

I guess I’m curious about the folks that embrace it. Concerning Joel he’s always reminded me of a slick Bill Clinton type...very surprised on how well received he is though.

Some of Gene Scott is on YouTube. Sadly it mostly consists of just a few minutes here and there. He could go for hours like this.

I don't remember now how I stumbled across them. They're not the usual sort of thing I listen to. Half the time interesting, half the time utter nuttiness. And I may just stop listening, if I think a particular show is just not worth it (as was the case with one recent guest who was trying to make a point based on the supposed divine inspiration of commas in the English text. (I'll take a wild guess here, and say probably some brand of KJV only-ism.) The comma shows you where the Rapture goes, don't you know.)

Now I know where to find the rapture—I’ve looked all over.

On another note, are the Nephilim coming or not? LOL I’m fairly new to all the Nephilim theories. I was taught the Sethite view of Genesis 6 in college, so I ignored all of the more outrageous Nephilim and Book of Enoch stuff until I stumbled into a series done by a reformed pastor (Presby P.C.A.). It was a three-part series in which he rather reluctantly concluded the Scriptures favored the fallen angel view of Genesis 6, not the Sethite view common in reformed circles. After listening to that I started reading and discovered a number of other reformed guys who either believe or are open to the fallen angel view. There is a lot of silly stuff and wild speculation out there on this topic, but it’s interesting to consider.

**Laodicea was the last and worst of the seven churches of Asia. We are there. Lukewarm at its finest in America.**

Lukewarm fits more than America. But, the seven Spirits of God are still on the earth, for the seven candles all burned at the same time. There are places on this earth of great persecution because of their faith in Jesus Christ; places where churches have great brotherly love. The others are present somewhere, even at this moment. All have something to overcome.
