"
The Germanic tribes came from Central Asia."
[Mention for Phinneous and ZC further down.]
So did many of the descendants of Amalek, first around and across to the west (Balkans, Greece, Italy, Spain,...), then some to the north on the east side of the Baltic Sea later on. According to many Iranians, Iran, by the way, means "Aryan." That was an early migration along the way.
After that, there were also movements of other populations into areas north and northwest of Rome during the Roman Empire including several populations erroneously called Germanic by Romans (historian laziness and bias). Many descendants of Rome migrated to Germany and other places after the end of the physical, intermittent Empire supported so much more than others by bargaining and propaganda (see Mediterranean trade culture).
Semi-secular/outside historians (outside: other religions) and their preferred chroniclers have lacked the facilities to study and convey history effectively; they've lacked training in focusing without distractions (like national bias), attention to details and more (Phinneous and ZC: see
chochmah,
binah,
daas and much more, Sefiros).
Here's some material from a semi-secular historian who lacks some distracting biases while clinging to others. He's goofy (in my opinion), very funny and very entertaining but has somehow found and broadcast more truth (along with a few errors from others visited by him) than many on all national sides approved by New Rome.

Even many of the Huns settled and stayed in western Europe. We're all very mixed. We only each have the spirit of one early nation or another.
Bingo.
Traditional rabbis held that Amalek couldn’t be identified exactly since ‘Senachariv mixed them [populations] up’.
Amalek is the name for those governed by the ‘Angel’ of Esau.
