No. It is you who is misguided. You believe in ANYTHING put forward by the Vatican without question. That is your right of course and I will not challenge it. The New Testament was written primarily by the four Gospel writers and St. Paul.
It might interest you know that I first learned that Jesus had brothers and sisters in a Bible study class taught by a Catholic priest in a Catholic church. When we were going over the passages mentioning Jesus’s brothers and sisters, the priest did not put any spin on it, like oh they meant to really say cousins-—or here’s another whopper-—they were Joseph’s children from a prior marriage. No. The priest did none of that. He presented the Bible as it is written without any spin or embellishments. So I am grateful to him for presenting the Bible as it is written without making things up. If you plan on having me excommunicated you might want to have the priest who taught our Bible study class excommunicated as well.
Our faith is based upon the New Testament and the teachings in the four accepted gospels. These were written before the Church was an established institution.

Yes. And the book of Mormon was written by Joseph Smith and the Koran written by Mohammed. Three books. Written by men. Why do you believe only one?
Where did Christ say that?
Seriously? The Bible was established by the Church. What Church was thriving in Acts, before any of the New Testament was written?
