I love it! Some want me to leave my church because I don’t march in lock step with the leadership on every single issue. Nope. Can’t have your own opinion or do your own research.

While I agree with about 90-95% of the Church’s teachings, I don’t think I should be excommunicated because I don’t agree with 100% of it. I happen to agree, btw, with what the current Pope has said about compulsory clerical celibacy. I guess it’s OK for Pope Francis to hold those views. But when I express them, I’m not sufficiently Catholic for some people.

I get really annoyed with some Catholics who claim to be holier than Thou. Some claim they are more Catholic than you because they only attend Mass in Latin. Or they only receive Holy Communion on the tongue, not in the hand as I do and other such nonsense. I’m really sick of it. I attend Mass every week. I serve as a volunteer at my church. I pray the rosary every day and watch Mass every day on EWTN. I’m tired of being told I’m not sufficiently Catholic and that I should leave the church. I’m not going anywhere and I will continue to think for myself. Sorry if that offends you.

Do you believe in the Magisterium? Do you know what it is?

Nope. Can’t have your own opinion or do your own research.

Yes. Do your own research. Study. But you cannot have your own opinion on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. To be a Catholic, you must accept the teachings of the Church. "I'm a catholic, and I accept 99% of all the Church teachings, but I believe in abortion, adultery, and that piece of bread is a cookie."

I'm sure you can find one of the many made up churches that match your beliefs.
